As we approach Labor Day, I am excited to share th

As we approach Labor Day, I am excited to share that I have been asked to create artwork for—and even participate in—this coming weekend's parade in Key West, Florida celebrating the life of the legendary Jimmy Buffett, who passed away last year on September 2, 2023. Next weekend marks the very first grand tribute in his honor.

For Eric and me, the drive down Route 95 South toward the warm tropical air, with ham and cheese sandwiches and hope in tow, has been a cherished escape from the ice and snow many times over the past 23 years. Jimmy Buffett’s music has always been the perfect soundtrack for these journeys, filling our trips with nostalgia of our youth, excitement for the future, and inspiration for a better life.

And now his inspiration has presented me with a welcomed opportunity to be creative. I’ve painted two pieces for the parade, sharing the first with you now, with the second (and much bigger piece) to follow soon!

Please join Eric and me in spirit this weekend in Key West as thousands come together for this heartfelt celebration, honoring the legacy of a truly remarkable man.

The parade is on Sunday, September 1st.

🌟✨ Celebrating 55 years of Woodstock ✨🌟

Today marks the 55th anniversary of the legendary Woodstock festival, a symbol of peace, love, and music. It was a time when the world was brought together through the universal language of song, under a sky full of stars and without the distraction of cellphones.

In honor of this iconic event, I'm sharing a painting I created of Jimi Hendrix, whose performance remains a testament to the power of music.

Today, take a moment to remember the spirit of Woodstock and the artists who shaped it. ✌️

Today is the 55th Anniversary of the morning Jimi

Today is the 55th Anniversary of the morning Jimi Hendrix blasted out the Star Spangled Banner as part of his closing set at the Woodstock Music and Art Fair.

Last autumn, Charlene and I made a visit to the original site of the concert (in Bethel, New York) to see the monument that commemorates the event — it was the first time I had been back to the site since a visit in 1994 for the 25 Year Anniversary event.

This morning, I thought it was probably as good a time as any to share these few photos I took on location during our 2023 stopover — along with a few interesting facts about the Woodstock monument.
